Data center services

L7 Group established a data center at its office to support data management, secure storage and business operations.

DIGITAL INFRASTRUCTURE

Project overview

L7 Group established a fully equipped data center at its new office, providing data management, secure storage and uninterrupted business operations.

The team handled every part of the setup, from hardware installation to network optimization, so that the infrastructure supports secure, high-speed data handling and long-term performance.

The data center was delivered alongside the group’s other infrastructure project: FASTag services at three toll plazas in Maharashtra.

IN ITS OWN WORDS

Why L7 Group built its own data centre

The data centre is one of two infrastructure projects L7 Group delivered for itself, the other being FASTag deployment at toll plazas in Maharashtra.

Building it in-house covered the whole chain: hardware installation, structured cabling and racks, network configuration and optimisation, and the security and access controls around them. The companies of the group, finance, software, recruitment, manufacturing, each hold data with different retention and access requirements, and running the facility directly keeps those decisions inside the group.

The work is directed by Mr. Sanket Khemka, Head of Technology at L7 Group, listed on the L7 Group board page, with software delivery through MuGenesys.

What a facility like this buys is predictability: systems that stay available during business hours, backups that are taken and tested rather than assumed, and a clear answer to where a company's data physically sits. For a group whose companies include a regulated lender, that last question is not a technicality.

The build covered power and cooling for the racks, structured cabling, network configuration and monitoring, and physical access control, with the network tuned for the applications the group actually runs rather than for a generic load.

The facility also gives the group somewhere to consolidate what used to sit under desks and in cupboards across its companies. Consolidating servers into one managed room is usually the point at which patching, monitoring and backup stop being somebody's side task and become a routine with an owner, a schedule and a record.
