Finance
Finance is one of the core businesses of L7 Group. The group runs it through Neuzen Finance Pvt. Ltd., a Non-Banking Finance Company registered with the Reserve Bank of India.
NBFC & FINANCE
A finance company is a business that provides financial services, primarily focusing on lending money or offering credit to individuals or businesses. These companies typically offer personal loans, business loans, leasing options, and debt consolidation services. Unlike traditional banks, finance companies may specialize in higher-risk lending, often serving customers who may not qualify for loans from banks. They generate revenue through interest rates and fees associated with their products. Operating under regulatory frameworks, finance companies play a crucial role in supporting economic activity by facilitating access to capital for various needs, from personal expenses to business growth.
Neuzen Finance in the L7 Group
Finance has been part of L7 Group's work for four generations of the O. J. Agrawal family, and today it is carried on by Neuzen Finance Pvt. Ltd., the group's Non-Banking Finance Company. Neuzen is registered with the Reserve Bank of India, which means it lends under the RBI's supervision rather than as an unregulated lender.
Neuzen works from the same building as the group headquarters, at 1B, 9th Floor, Times Square Building, Andheri-Kurla Road, Gamdevi, Marol, Mumbai, and can be reached on +91 22 6777 7777 or at info@neuzen.in. Keeping the finance company in the same office as the group's other businesses means credit decisions sit close to the people who run the operating companies.
For borrowers, the practical difference between an RBI-registered NBFC and an informal lender is accountability: registration, reporting and a published place of business. For L7, the finance division also supports the group’s own projects in hospitality and manufacturing, alongside its external lending.
You can read about Neuzen's services on neuzen.in, see the rest of the group on the L7 Group portfolio page, or contact L7 Group for an introduction.
A Non-Banking Finance Company is not a bank: it lends and leases, but it does not take demand deposits or run current accounts. What registration with the Reserve Bank of India does give a borrower is a supervised lender with reporting obligations and a published place of business, which is the difference between regulated credit and an informal arrangement.
Within L7 Group, that discipline is useful in both directions. The finance company applies the same assessment to the group’s own projects in manufacturing and hospitality as it does to outside borrowers, and the operating companies give it people who understand the sectors it lends into.
